My Studio Life

 

 

     My name is Malathi Sivagami d/o Sivakumaram and I have never thought that I will be a student of University Sains Malaysia. My family and friends always thought that I am creative and always come up with something unique. So, I thought I'm good enough, but it didn't last long. Not until I met my friends in my faculty, Housing, Building and Planning(HBP) .As a HBP student, I face a lot of circumstances especially my life in RUS 104 which is more likely to be known as the 'studio life'.

 

 

     Studio life keeps each and everyone of us busy and non of us actually felt the time move and now it is actually the end of one semester. One week one project and sometimes 2 projects at once, project (a) and (b). This isn't just stressing but also very challenging as criticisms are hard to accept especially for people like me who don't always get criticised by family and friends. Anyhow, I accept it as all part of the game which I'm going to play for the next five semester. Studio life is actually challenging not because the tasks are tough but it is because we have to come up with creative ideas in such a short period and each week you will have to come up with something new. So, our brains usually gets no enough rest and sleep of course.

 

 

     Looking at the brighter side, studio life have thought me so much in facing the real hectic life in future. RUS 104 indirectly thought us to manage our time and of course the importance of time itself. Since studio life involves a lots of practical work,  it is very beneficial and makes understandings towards certain aspect easier especially for people like me who don't always read to gain knowledge. I personally thinks that hands on gives a better understanding and yes RUS 104 has proven it.

 

 

     Besides that, RUS 104 is the one and only subject that brought all students bond together. All the projects somehow connected us in many medium in order to share information. Group works are definitely the most effective ones as it bonds everyone from all different majors and this also makes understanding towards importance of each other in the future of housing field. Activities of RUS 104 are all simply magnificent especially the trip to Langkawi after a long stressing week. It was a great deal to release stress and outdoor person like me had definitely enjoyed it. A sincere thanks to all the lecturers that made this event possible.

 

 

     Lastly, I would like to thank all the lecturers for being super spotting and friendly. I really appreciate all your guidance and support. Not forgetting my friends, for always accepting me the way I am though I'm like the minority, for staying awake till dawn and of course all the laughs and fun we had together. RUS 104 is surely something which I will never forget in my life.
